How to Download Twitter Videos and Photos
X Premium subscribers can save a video from a post when its author allows downloads. For photos and videos, one post or a whole profile, four steps:
One-time setup: download NeoDownloader and install it. It is available for Windows, macOS and Linux. The steps below are what you repeat each time.
Copy an X Address
In your browser, open the post on X and copy its address from the address bar, or copy the link from the post's share menu. For several posts, copy each one's address; for everything an account has posted, copy the address of its profile.
Paste It into NeoDownloader
Click “New project” - the wizard picks up the copied address by itself - and click “Next”. Several addresses go into the field one per line. For a post with a video, NeoDownloader selects its Video Downloader plugin, and the next step lets you choose the quality. For a post with photos, it selects Gallery Downloader. For a profile, it selects Gallery Downloader with the note “This address needs a login”, and the next step asks what to take: “Timeline” is ticked.
Sign In to X for a Profile
Check the destination folder and click “Create project”. A post downloads right away, without a sign-in. For a profile, if you have not signed in to X in NeoDownloader yet, X opens in NeoDownloader's own browser - not your Chrome or Firefox; sign in there and click “Continue”. Later projects use that sign-in by themselves.
Get the Videos and Photos
Each file is named with the author and the start of its post, and a profile's files go into a folder named after the account. What you download signed in comes down under your account, and X counts that as your activity. Run the project again later to fetch only the new posts.
Twitter Profile Downloader: Every Photo and Video of an Account
With “Timeline” ticked, NeoDownloader goes through everything the account has posted with photos or videos, newest first, and saves them into the account's folder. Reposts of other people's posts are left out: what comes down is the account's own.

X answers a whole profile only to a signed-in account, so a profile needs a sign-in. On a large profile X may make NeoDownloader wait until its limit resets; the project carries on by itself.

On the page, X shows a reduced copy of a photo. NeoDownloader asks X for the original file, the largest copy X keeps.
A post's video comes in the best quality X has for it, no higher than the quality you chose in the wizard. The free version goes up to 1080p; Premium takes whatever X has above it. Nothing is enlarged or re-compressed.
In a list of posts, NeoDownloader chooses the plugin by the first address: when it is a video, the whole list goes to Video Downloader, which takes videos only. To keep the photos too, choose Gallery Downloader in the wizard's list.
