License Agreement for Use and Distribution

This license agreement covers both the Free and Premium versions of NeoDownloader.

1. Ownership

NeoDownloader is copyrighted software. All rights are exclusively owned by the copyright holder. The software, including all code, graphics, user interface, and documentation, is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions.

2. Free Version

You may use the Free version of NeoDownloader for an unlimited period of time, free of charge. Certain features are only available in the Premium version. The Free version is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Premium License

By purchasing a Premium license, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use NeoDownloader Premium on up to two (2) computers simultaneously, for any lawful purpose.

You may not rent, lease, or sublicense the software. A Premium license may be permanently transferred to another user only with prior written consent from the copyright holder and only if the recipient agrees to all terms of this agreement. If the software is an upgrade, the transfer must include all previous versions.

4. Distribution of Free Version

The unmodified Free version of NeoDownloader may be freely distributed. No person or entity is authorized to charge a fee for such distribution without prior written permission from the copyright holder.

5. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the software
  • Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the software
  • Clone or create derivative works based on the software
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks
  • Use the software to develop competing products
  • Distribute modified versions of the software

Any unauthorized use will result in immediate termination of this license and may lead to legal action.

6. Third-Party Components

NeoDownloader includes the following third-party components, which are subject to their own licenses:

  • Chromium: Open-source browser engine (BSD license)
  • FFmpeg: Multimedia framework (LGPL/GPL)

NeoDownloader uses these tools internally and does not claim ownership of them.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

NeoDownloader is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The author shall not be liable for any damages — including but not limited to data loss, loss of profits, or any other incidental or consequential damages — arising from the use or misuse of this software.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50 USD).

9. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of NeoDownloader complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms of service. The software is a tool — you are responsible for the content you download and how you use it.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using NeoDownloader, you agree to abide by the terms of this license agreement.

11. Termination

If you do not agree to these terms, you must uninstall NeoDownloader and delete all related files from your devices. This license terminates automatically if you violate any of its terms.
